Free grants for solar panels have been introduced as part of the ECO4 scheme in Scotland. Eligible households can now reduce their energy bills by around 60% by generating their own free, green electricity. 

The updated and rejuvenated Energy Company Obligation Scheme (ECO4) is now focused on providing full energy efficiency improvement projects for properties in rural parts of Scotland where households are living in fuel poverty.

The cavity wall insulation that is installed through the wall insulation grant scheme is a man-made fibre similar to loft insulation but finely chopped to fit in between your walls. It is moisture-proof and cannot pass dampness from your exterior wall to the interior wall via the cavity.
